Politeness
The tongue is a boneless mass,
The alley from where words pass.
Connected to thoughts and feelings,
Most impactful in all our dealings.
Though the choice is yours,
What and how you say ensures,
If you’ll have more of friends or foes,
If you’ll walk on thorns or a bed of rose.
Being nice is not being fake,
It’s not just for name sake.
Politeness is picking words carefully,
It’s all about talking gracefully.
You’ll always be wrong if you’re rude,
Don’t be good as per your mood.
Be honourable to all those you meet,
Be humble while walking on your feet.
Politeness is an inexpensive virtue,
It’ll bring you fame, that’s so very true.
“Oh, how sweet!” you’ll hear people say,
No money will bring this joy your way.
